I took a lesson with Daniel last summer when I visited Brazil. He’s a great teacher, a super positive guy, and a great player. The IBVF is a great school with awesome facilities. Keep up the great work Daniel!
Daniel was my teacher in 2007, and I have to thank him a lot so I got today.
I thank Daniel Oliveira and Vera Figueiredo Drum Institute for the opportunity of knowing them and learned techniques that helped me to develop and express myself better on the instrument! Thank you for your friendship and knowledge!

I met Daniel at Berklee College of Music, Boston. We studied in school together – many, many years ago
Can I contribute here as well and proudly claim I took lessons from Daniel or have studied together in a traditional sense like many of his students have? No, that wasn’t the case exactly. But have I learned anything from this very cool dude – Yes, I sure did!
I learned quite a lot from the guy. Incredible drummer, extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to his craft. It clearly shows in his passion for music and teaching. As I am sure anyone who’s gotten to know him found out right away. Our drum rehearsal studios used to be back to back in school, sharing a wall (a very thin wall, hahaha). I sure did learn a lot from my friend just listening in, as well picking his brain a bit when I could in between studies and endless practice sessions (which seemed like would never end). And he would never be too busy or tired to share – which is a great quality I admired in Daniel. Ability and willingness to always share his musical knowledge. And any other sort of knowledge as well, definitely not limited to a drum set alone.
I remember on drums – trading and sharing some rock/pop insight for his great understanding of Latin – Brazilian, Afro Cuban and Jazz styles. Those have always kicked my butt I must confess – never easy! Unless he is performing them, that is. Then it looks simple. But beware, looks can be reeeally deceiving.
Way to go my friend. Great to see you moving forward with your dream and passion. Best of luck in your musical pursuits and endeavors.
